Council at its ordinary meeting of 12 December 2018 resolved to adopt the following design of the public toilets, with the inclusion of:
- Installation of baby change tables in the two accessible toilets
- Surfaces, including mirrors, to be designed to be impact resistant
- Drink bottle filling facilities
The newly replaced Burtons Reserve toilet block in Cygnet is now complete and open for public use.
The finishing touches are complete and the new Burtons Reserve toilets will be open prior to Christmas.
The final stages are being completed with the building currently being painted and the floor coating installed in mid November.
The Burtons Reserve Toilet project has been progressing well with the roof, flashings and guttering installed along with the installation of the internal and external cladding. A naturally stained oil has been selected to treat the hardwood exterior cladding which will allow for all weather protection. The next stage of the project has been tasked to the plumbers for the installation of toilet pans, urinals and handwash basins.
Work has commenced on the toilet block at Burtons Reserve, Cygnet with demolition to commence this week.
The nearest public toilets can be found at Loongana Park, Mary Street, Cygnet.
The Development Application will be presented to Council on 26 June 2019 at the Ordinary Council meeting.
