All this week, HVC Youth Services on Facebook is sharing a new campaign for local young people looking at ‘6 steps to having a conversation’ about mental health.
You can also view all six steps here!
Launching off the back of Mental Health Week 2020 (5–10 October), the campaign provides practical tips on how to #checkin with friends and what to do next.
It also provides reminders of the support services available for young people who need some help to cope:
- Lifeline Tasmania on 13 11 14 (anytime), or text 0477 13 11 14 (6pm to midnight)
- Kids Helpline Official on 1800 551 800 (anytime)
‘6 steps to having a conversation’ is a Huon Valley Youth Committee project, created by young people, for young people. It’s also supported by the Mental Health Council of Tasmania.
Visit our Youth webpage for a calendar of events happening in the Valley, and what support is available for young people.
