Technical Officer – Planning (000039)

About This Position

The Role

As the Technical Officer – Planning you will:

  • Provide a ‘single point’ of contact for customers.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Statutory Planning Team
  • Assist in preparing process and workflow template documentation.
  • Draft reports for applications of a minor nature for final review and decision.

Mandatory Requirements

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Extensive experience in statutory planning in Tasmania, with a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a relevant field
  • Strong experience applying either an Interim planning scheme or the Tasmanian Planning Scheme to applications.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise workloads within statutory timeframes.
  • Experience with the use of a range of systems used in the assessment process (GIS, MS Office, ECM, Pathway or the like)
