Council is proud to announce the opening of its 2025 Community and Creative Grants Program round, designed to support innovative projects that involve, connect, and benefit the Huon Valley community.

Community and Creative grants provide financial support to new projects, providing an opportunity to seed fund innovative programs or test new ideas.

There is a total of 20, $1,000 grants available – 10 for Creative and 10 for Community projects with grant activities are to be completed by end June 2026.

The Grants support projects that:

  • Respond to a local community need, issue, or idea
  • Promote meaningful connections among people
  • Align with the Huon Valley’s Community Vision
  • Have lasting benefits for the community beyond the funded period
  • Can be delivered on time and within budget

Previous Grant recipients have supported things like community festivals and events, creative workshops, activities for children and young people, community groups and clubs, and a mural.

Council Officers can support you to develop your application, and we encourage you to discuss your application with us before submitting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for community-driven projects to gain the financial support they need to make a positive impact across the Huon Valley.
