The Greg Norris Memorial Health Scholarship assists Huon Valley residents studying in the field of medicine, nursing or allied health. Scholarships of up to $5,000 are available.
Named after former Mayor Greg Norris, an advocate for improved Huon Valley health services in the early 1990s, the scholarship intends to encourage residents to obtain a health services qualification and practise in the Huon Valley.
2025 applications
To be eligible:
- Applicants are required to show that they would find it difficult to access further education without receiving scholarship support.
- Applicants must reside in the Huon Valley Local Government area at the time of application.
- Preference will be given to applicants whose study may lead to a future career in rural health care.
Applications open 13 January 2025.
