Current Status
Consultation has been concluded with all Community Halls in the Huon Valley region. The information from the workshops and online survey has now been collated and is being review by the consultant and project team.
We thank all community members that attended the workshops and/or completed the online survey for their time.
Huon Valley Council is keen to hear how you value your local hall and think it can be best used and managed into the future.
Our community halls are often used as a place where people can connect, while some also serve specific purposes like hosting performances, meetings, or providing information or shelter in a crisis.
Council acknowledges the significant role played by volunteers in managing our halls to date. Their tireless efforts are appreciated, and their input will be specifically sought.
Come along to one of our upcoming Community Hall Engagements and help Council plan for your local hall’s maintenance, improvements, and management.
Council has contracted SGS Economics and Planning to assist us with this project.
