Ranelagh Recreation Ground Toilet Upgrade

Current Status

Stage 1: Work is complete on at the Ranelagh Recreation Ground on the toilet facilities located in Charlotte Street. Stage 2: Contractors have moved to the Ranelagh Street site to demolish and construct the second all-ability facility. All works are expected to be completed in March 2025.

BACKGROUND

At the Ordinary Council meeting 27 May 2020, (Res; 19.014/20) the Ranelagh Recreation Ground Masterplan was approved for implementation.

It was recognised in the Master Plan that there was a need to replace/improve the facilities including;

The Ranelagh Street side toilets which are open permanently for community.
The Charlotte Street side facilities which are used by community groups and events.

This project aligns with the Ranelagh Masterplan and will provide the grounds with modern amenities.

UPDATE 21 November 2024

The construction of the Charlotte Street toilet facility is now complete.

The construction team will now focus their attention on Stage 2 – demolition and construction of the new Ranelagh Street facility. Completion of this project is expected in March 2025.

The new all-abilities facilities at Charlotte Street will be available to the public while the Stage 2 works on the Ranelagh Street facility progress.
