We are undertaking a Community Communications Survey to understand and improve the way we provide information and engage with our community.
As identified in our Community Engagement Framework, understanding our community and having our community understand Council is essential to delivering services that respond to the needs of our community and assists us to achieve our goals.
Your feedback will help shape the development our new Communications Strategy, which was one of the goals in our Annual Plan 2019–2020.
The Strategy will take into account:
- What our community looks like (demographic information)
- What kinds of things people want to hear about from Council
- How people want to find out information and communicate with Council
- The resources Council has for sharing information and engaging with the community
Council is committed to improving its communication with all community members, and is grateful for your help in making this happen.
The Draft Communications Strategy has been developed and is under review at present.
Council is analysing the feedback from the Community Communications Survey and a draft report and survey results will be presented to Council in February.
Following this a Draft Communications Strategy will be developed.
