Huon Valley Council has established an internal team to work on implementing the new Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework.
“We will be implementing all key recommendations and will ensure these are completed on a timely basis,” said Huon Valley Mayor Sally Doyle.
Council aims to have its Child and Youth Safe Statement and Child Safe Policy adopted in September 2024.
Council is working with LGAT and the Office of the Independent Regulator to ensure that community organisations will be supported in the implementation of this Framework.
