Today at the Huon Valley Hub in Huonville, community members gathered for a delicious Vietnamese lunch prepared and plated up by local chefs Rhiannon and Tinh alongside chef Roy Leurs and students of the Huon Valley Trade Training Centre.

Council’s Eating with Friends program has a multicultural flair, with a focus on foods from around the world.

Rhiannon learned to cook Vietnamese food while travelling Asia with Tinh. Council congratulates Rhiannon’s career success and her decision to return to the Trade Training Centre as a mentor, having been part of the centre’s first intake of students.

Roy is a teacher at the Trade Training Centre and is supporting the students to gain practical experience in menu development, cooking and presentation.

Eating with Friends is a great opportunity to get together with other people in your area, catch up with friends and make new ones, while learning how to make delicious new dishes.
