Huon Valley Alphabet Mafia is a Queer centered social group created to offer support, friendship, and resources to the Valley’s LGBTQIA+ youth.
We meet at the PCYC to hang out, eat snacks, play games, create art, do puzzles, and spill tea. We have a private library full of queer literature, information, and workbooks. If you’re between 13 – 20 years old, and under the LGBTQIA+ Umbrella you’re welcome to join us! Allies, friends, and family members will need to be personally invited and/or approved by the group. This is to ensure the safety of our members. As well as our in-person meets and curated library, we also have a private Discord Server and dedicated Minecraft Realm.
HVAM is volunteer run and supported by Huon Valley Voice for Health (Health Consumers TAS), The Huon Valley PCYC, and Working It Out.
We meet every Monday, except public holidays, between 3pm – 5pm at Huon Valley PCYC, Wilmot Rd, Huonville.
