Lukas Mrosek has been elected to Huon Valley Council after the resignation of Councillor Jenny Cambers-Smith earlier this month.
A recount was conducted by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission (TEC) on Monday 19 August 2024 to fill the councillor vacancy.
“On behalf of Council, I’d like to congratulate and welcome Lukas,” said Mayor Sally Doyle.
Lukas will be officially sworn in later this week and attend his first ordinary meeting of Council on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
