  • $79,071 – $86,908 per annum plus 14.5% employer superannuation

The Role

As a Municipal Inspector, you will:

  • Prioritise community engagement and education to promote compliance
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and complaints
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections throughout the municipal area
  • Serve as the Municipal Pound Keeper and provide animal control services to the community
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of livestock and animal welfare and a willingness to deal with dogs and other animals

While experience as a Municipal Inspector or a Compliance Officer is advantageous, we value applicants with strong communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as a willingness to learn and engage with our community.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively handle difficult and stressful situations
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Hands-on experience and confidence in dealing with a range of animals
  • Outstanding literacy and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computerised systems and programs
