The newly renovated Port Huon Pool welcomed the community back over the weekend with a splashy celebration.
Over 200 community members came to the free weekend to enjoy a swim, grab a BBQ sausage and explore the upgraded centre.
Feedback from attendees has been positive, with many commenting on the pool’s improved appearance and facilities. It also enticed several new memberships for monthly or annual passes.

Improvements include new tiles lining the pool, an all-accessibility hoist, comfortable bench seats, and a new ventilation system that will keep you comfortable all your round.
The Port Huon Sports Centre will operate with extended hours to better serve the community:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7am-12noon and 3pm-8pm
• Tuesday and Thursday: 3pm-8pm
• Saturday: 8am-12noon
• Sunday: 11am-4pm
That’s not all though, over the next 12 months we will continue upgrading the facility, focusing on the changerooms, bathrooms and hallway leading to these facilities, to make your visit even more comfortable.
We appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and support for this valuable recreational facility and look forward to serving local residents throughout the year.
